I have always thought summer was the best time to read. All those endless days lounging around on the beach with nothing to do. Well, that’s not my life but if it were, I would spend all those days reading! It is true though that summer does mean a vacation or two and less time shuttling my boys from here to there which translates to perfect opportunities to read. And my to-read pile is getting taller by the day!
So far this summer I’ve read Worth the Weight by Eileen Palma, The Fault in Our Stars by John Green, Where’d You Go, Bernadette by Maria Semple, and The One & Only by Emily Giffin. All great and recommended!
Next up: Orphan Train by Christina Baker Kline, The Invention of Wings by Sue Kidd Monk, Your Perfect Life by Liz Fenton and Lisa Steinke, The Secret Life of Violet Grant by Beatriz Williams, and the list goes on…
Do you have your summer to-read list set yet? How’d you like to win a starter set??? In honor of the launch of my new website (which I love!), I’m giving away a Beach Reads Prize Pack filled with perfect summer reads: A Hundred Summers by Beatriz Williams, The One & Only by Emily Giffin, The Glass Kitchen by Linda Francis Lee, Goodnight June by Sarah Jio, and On Grace by moi.
Enter the Rafflecopter below to win and let me know in the comments either your favorite all-time summer read or what’s on your list for this summer. I’ll be announcing the winner on July 7!

Have to say my favorite summer read so far is a book I just finished called “Mornings With Mailer”. The author who wrote it, Dwayne Raymond got to work with Norman Mailer in the last 4 years of his life. It’s a wonderful insight into the mans life and an excellent read. I highly recommend it.
