What a year this has been for my debut novel ON GRACE!

It’s been a dream come true. Pardon the trite, overused expression but sometimes those expressions really are the best way to phrase things. So, yes, a dream come true. The launch of the book led to wonderful press and reader reviews, exciting and well-attended events, and awards! ON GRACE was named a Finalist in Fiction in the 2014 International Book Awards for Chick Lit/Women’s Lit and a Bronze Winner in Popular Fiction in the 2014 Independent* Publisher Book Awards.

And Kirkus Reviews, just announced their awards and ON GRACE was a winner there, too: it is one of the Best Indie* Books of 2014! Take a look at the graphic my publisher—I just love them—made to announce the win:

I am over the moon (sorry, again). And as I head into 2015 with my second novel THE BALANCE PROJECT a mere four months away from publication, I am looking forward to fulfilling more dreams and hopefully garnering more positive attention for my work. I promise an update soon on THE BALANCE PROJECT but I’m thrilled to announce that all edits are 100% done and the cover has been chosen. It’s stunning, and I can’t wait for our big cover reveal which will come early in the new year!

I’m also looking forward to continue blogging on my site and on The Huffington Post, so please look for those articles. And if you haven’t signed up for my newsletter, please do so here. I promise I won’t bombard you with emails and I will never ever share your name with anyone, especially those Nigerian widows with very large estates.

Thank you all for being along for the ride and for all your wonderful support!

*In case you’re curious, “independent” in this case refers to a smaller press publisher, one that is independent of the major publishing houses that dominate the traditional book publishing industry. My publisher, SparkPress, is a boutique publisher and, thus, their books fit into the indie categories. Clearer now?
